Quitting isn't easy—but it's easier with the right help. The Freedom From Smoking program provides you with options, resources, and support to quit for good! It's All About Your Quit Journey The American Lung Association has been helping people quit smoking for over 40 years and has helped one million people quit for good. Freedom From Smoking® is ranked among the most effective cessation programs in the country, available in a variety of formats and offering a comprehensive set of evidence-based, proven techniques. Freedom From Smoking® can help you quit all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices. • We help you develop a personalized plan of action to prepare you for your quit day and offer the support you need to remain tobacco-free for life! • Gain a deeper understanding of tobacco use dependency and identify your unique patterns and routines. • Address the physical, mental, and social factors associated with quitting all tobacco products. • Learn stress management, relapse prevention, how to self-monitor, and maintain motivation. The program format consists of eight sessions over seven weeks. Sessions are held weekly except in week 4. Week 4 is "Quit Week". To offer support early in the quit process, two sessions are held that week.
