Opioid Risk Reduction Program
Service Description
Gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize an opioid overdose and give care for a person experiencing an opioid overdose by administering medication until EMS personnel arrive. The class includes a demonstration and skill practice session of administering naloxone using a nasal spray or nasal atomizer. The training is designed to help participants feel confident and willing to render aid. Overdose Prevention Supplies are also available! Risk reduction supplies are at no cost and include the following (based on availability): Intranasal naloxone Intramuscular naloxone Fentanyl test strips Xylazine test strips
