Diabetes Prevention Program

The Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is a community-based lifestyle intervention for adults with prediabetes. Its goal is to empower participants to make lasting lifestyle changes that enhance their overall health and significantly lower their risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Woman's Weight Management over 40

Weight management for women over 40 involves adapting to natural metabolic and hormonal changes through a holistic approach. Prioritizing stress management, quality sleep, consistent physical activity—such as walking and cardio—limiting alcohol and processed foods, and staying hydrated are all key factors. Our comprehensive, year-long lifestyle change program empowers participants to achieve sustainable weight loss, adopt healthier eating habits, increase physical activity, and manage stress effectively, all with the support of a dedicated health coach.
Freedom from Smoking

The Freedom from Smoking program provides options, resources, and support to help you quit for good! The program is among the most effective in the country, available in multiple formats and featuring a comprehensive set of evidence-based, proven cessation techniques. Covered by PA Medical Assistance.
Mommy & Me Can Beat T2

The Mommy & Me course can reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58% and help lower the chances of gestational diabetes in future pregnancies. The program provides 12 months of full support from a Registered Nurse for Mom and your new baby. Additionally, the program provides health and wellness products for you and your baby to help you stay on track.
Blood Pressure & Your Health

This class explores the fundamentals of blood pressure, including normal ranges and the implications of elevated levels. Participants will learn about the risks associated with high blood pressure, such as heart disease and stroke, and identify key risk factors like age, weight, diet, and lifestyle choices. The session will also cover effective lifestyle changes to manage and prevent high blood pressure, including tips on diet, exercise, stress reduction, and smoking cessation. Lastly, we'll emphasize the importance of regular monitoring and consulting with healthcare providers to maintain optimal health.
Cholesterol & Your Health

The class explores the role of fats and cholesterol, including the different types of cholesterol and the importance of maintaining healthy levels for overall well-being. It addresses important questions about cholesterol and health, such as: How can I determine if I have high cholesterol? What health problems can result from high cholesterol? What steps can I take to reduce my risk?
Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & AED

The AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who has a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc.

Basic Life Support

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
First Aid, CPR, & AED

The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
AHA CPR Instructor Training

The American Heart Association is always seeking professionals to conduct training in first aid, CPR, AED, and advanced cardiovascular care. If you are passionate about saving lives, motivated to facilitate learning, feel comfortable in group settings, and find it easy to make complex concepts understandable to others, you may be a perfect candidate.
Comprehensive Health Screening

Health Screenings include heart health, cardiovascular risk assessment, mental health screenings, participant-specific health indicators, postpartum screenings, barriers to healthcare, blood pressure and pulse assessment, and weight/BMI. Participants receive personalized health guidance from a registered nurse, a health report card, and referrals to services if needed.
Harm Reduction

Gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize an opioid overdose, provide care, and administer reversal medication. The training is designed to help participants feel confident and willing to render aid.
Risk reduction supplies are available at no cost.
Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST)

Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) is a research-validated substance abuse prevention program proven to reduce the risks of alcohol, tobacco, drug abuse, and violence by targeting the major social and psychological factors that promote the initiation of substance use and other risky behaviors. This comprehensive and exciting program provides adolescents and young teens with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully handle challenging situations.
Hope Squad

Hope Squad is a school-based, peer-to-peer suicide prevention program designed to create a safe environment for students. It focuses on improving members' knowledge, skills, and self-efficacy while reducing burnout and stress among them. The program aims to diminish mental health stigma, encourage wellness, prevent substance misuse, promote connectedness, and support anti-bullying efforts. Evidence of its effectiveness includes 25%-30% of students seeking counseling for suicide-related issues being referred by Hope Squad members, with 14% of those referrals resulting in hospitalization, along with an increase in both student and peer self-referrals.

Health & Safety Weekly explores health, safety, preparedness, and prevention topics to keep you and your family healthy and safe. Group members can request weekly content and participate by sharing evidence-based health information with others.
